Environmentally responsible flooring built for the future
In 2019 we were called to a Goulburn school where Water damage had rendered the school hall floor unusable.
Our customer, the NSW Department of Education was keen to fix it, but also keen to be environmentally responsible too, with the large volume of what was now classed as “waste wood”.
Earthwood Flooring's Sustainable Solution
We were able to take almost every piece of the old floor for kiln drying, re-milling and recycling into new solid Earthwood Sports Floor in the hall, over the top of our own height-adjustable battens.
The job was made faster by the fact that we pre-finished the floorboards in the factory, so that when the last board was laid, the job was done.
Goulburn School Hall is future-proofed by virtue of the unprecedented 9mmm wear layer that will allow for multiple refinishes over the long term life of the floor.
Earthwood Floors sports flooring can also be coloured, and looks great in both commercial and residential settings.
