Earthwood flooring recovers and recycles Australian hardwood timber material from building demolitions that would otherwise be destined for landfill, and manufacture it into a world class flooring option.
Paul Gaunt works in the building industry, and had a vision of bringing to market a high-quality sustainable, environmentally responsible Australian recycled timber flooring product.
In 2020 Paul founded Earthwood Flooring, and has brought his timber recycling ideas to fruition with the Earthwood engineered flooring range.

Earthwood Victorian Origins
The timbers we reclaim and re-mill to produce Earthwood Victorian Origins are hand-removed structural members from roof, ceiling, wall and floor frames of houses and warehouses being demolished all across Victoria, Australia.
Timber species reclaimed include:
- Blackbutt
- Oak
- Messmate
- Alpine Ash
- Mountain Ash
- Stringybark
- Silvertop Ash, and
- Southern Beech.
Earthwood Gladstone Pipeline
The Gladstone Pipeline in far North Queensland runs for nearly 300 miles from the Arcadia Valley to the distribution port of Gladstone. All along the route thousands of mature native trees were felled and milled into sleepers to hold the pipes during construction of the natural gas pipeline.
Rather than leave this precious resource to be burned or chipped when the job was complete, Earthwood re-mill this beautiful Australian hardwood into our Earthwood Gladstone Pipeline range of engineered flooring.
